A career inside our community team means working with people who have offended while they complete their order or sentence. You will be aiming to engage and positively motivate people to ensure community safety and improve their oranga while they are in our management.

Who we are
Probation Officer
Work with offenders to make sure they are meeting the requirements of their sentence and have the support they need to do so.
Programme facilitation
Run therapeutic programmes to help offenders understand the factors that led to their offending, take responsibility and motivate change in their thoughts and behaviours.
Community Work Supervisors
Supervise offenders assigned to community work group placements
Senior Community Work Supervisors
Lead the assessment of community work projects, mentor Community Work Supervisors and manage key relationships.
Volunteers
Volunteering within Corrections supports our goal of reducing re-offending, by assisting offenders to meet their rehabilitative needs and transition back into society (reintegration).
Operations advisor
Support the management of electronically monitored offenders and defendants who are in the community around Aotearoa.
